The chocolate laboratory is the place where it all happens at Camelot Sword. Making world class chocolate takes time and we have always been on a mission to be the best in the industry.

Our expert team of chocolatiers have spent years learning how to temper chocolate and create unusual flavour combinations so our customers always hear that satisfying snap when they bite into one of our handcrafted chocolates.

The lab is full of bubbling cauldrons, cooling equipment, whisks, bowls and water baths so that we can quickly come up with new techniques in addition to mastering old ones. From delicate caramel flavours to strong coffee essences, every scent you could possibly imagine wafts out of the kitchen doors as our chocolate chefs dream up new combinations and textures. It really is a sight to be seen. It's only through trial and error that we've been able to create some of our best sellers so we commend anyone who has fresh ideas and follows them through (even if they don't work out in the end). 

Ever one of our staff members is fascinated by the structure of chocolate and its natural characteristics. Head chef Fred Lovelace said: "I love my job and the fact that I get to work with chocolate everyday is just unbelievable. I get to spend all day being creative, tasting new recipes and working with the rest of my team. Then I get to go home smelling of vanilla, strawberries and chocolate. Who could ask for more?"
